One of the Longest Days

I can say that today is one of the longest days of my life. First, I went to work, after work this morning I went home, then me and my brother went shopping for stuff as 'pasalubong' for our family back in the province. I can say that it was like my first dreadful shopping experience. We've been literally running around, going up and down the stairs, went to three malls and stopped by at almost every shop we could see. I never thought that shopping would be this dreadful. I felt like the veins of my legs will explode any minute because of the walking/running we made. We didn't even have the chance to rest for even a while. We were so out of time, I need to be home by 6 since Sheina and I planned to watch a movie in our place and have dinner there too. Luckily before my veins thought about exploding we were able to buy everyone's 'pasalubong' and at long last, after fifty golden years we were finally heading home! What a relief!

When we got home my brother started unpacking our shopping bags and was like sorting it. I didn't feel like helping out, I was too exhausted to even lift a finger. I flopped down on my bed and was able to take a nap for about 10 minutes when my brother started screaming (well, it was like talking but just louder than the usual) that Sheina's already waiting for me at the place where I'm going to meet her. I quickly woke up and checked my phone but to my dismay it was just one of his pranks. I didn't react to his little prank, which is kinda surprising of me maybe because I was really too tired to argue. After twenty minutes or so I decided to go to to the place where Sheina and I agreed to meet. She was already there when I got there. After that we went to buy dinner since my cook (my brother) is exhausted too. After that we went to our place, we watched
The Lake House, had dinner with occasional chats, then went back watching the movie. When the movie ended we decided to watch something else to pass the time and Sheina suggested that we watch The Hills season 2 episodes 1-10, but we didn't really finished watching the 10 episodes because it was getting a little late and Sheina needs to be home before 11 because she still have work later at 5:30AM. And after she left I went rummaging my closet and decide on what stuff I'm going to bring in going home.

I just finished sorting out my clothes but still not decided on what to bring, I still need to have an elimination round later I think... But before I do so, I decided on blogging first.:p I just want to blab about what happened today and I can't seem to ward off the travel bug in me. I AM JUST SO EXCITED ABOUT GOING HOME AND NOT TAKING THE PLANE after a half a decade. It is just less than 24 hours before we board the ship, the ship's ETD is 8:45PM that means we need to be there on or before 7:00PM and that's only 18 hours and a half! I am so so excited to meet everyone back there.

I am kinda sleepy now, I've been awake for 28 hours and a half, I better be doing the elimination round of the stuff I'm going to bring with me on the trip home later. Good night everyone err good morning! :p Wish us a safe trip tomorrow. Ciao.

Sarcastic. Not!

One more night and work will be over for me for this month and a couple of nights more before I can officially say "I'm home!". But until now we haven't decided yet whether we'll take the plane or boat, and that means we don't have our tickets yet. My brother and I have been thinking about riding a boat since it was half a decade ago since we had our last ride. We inquired for the fare, sadly the boat fare is even more expensive than the air fare, and to think riding a boat will take as three days and two nights before we reach our destination and plane ride will only take us a couple of hours max. So, as you see... maybe we'll just forget about the boat ride coz taking the plane is less expensive and of course faster. Sigh. Anyway, whatever will be decided will be fine for me as long as we can get home. I am so, so excited!

Anyway, my brother just got back from their Puerto Galera trip, which I wasn't able to go because of my work. How sad is that? So I was home alone Sunday and Monday. I haven't seen my brother since he got back but we already talked on the phone and he told me interesting things they did (sarcasm here) while they were in Puerto. I really wanted to go there again since my little Puerto adventure last year. And for a little consolation my brother bought me a shirt. Of course he did not do it in his own will, I forced him to buy me one. I just wish I was able to go with them, for sure it's a lot of fun and it will be very far better than last year.

Enough of this Kristina, 'have no time for regrets' remember? I'm quite excited to go home today though to see the shirt my brother bought me and of course to see him too and hear more of their story and see their pictures too. I swear no more sarcasm in here... ^__^

Another thing to be excited about is... The Hills Season 2's 10th Episode! Yay! And basing on the teaser it will be a great episode with lots of dramas... And Jenn Bunney and Brody Jenner will be there too! The nerve of those two! Well... let's just see what happens on Lauren's birthday.

Coffee Break

This morning Sheina and I planned on having a 'Tin and Shein's Day', we planned on having a movie marathon at my place, have dinner there and do some spontaneous bumming all afternoon. All were set. When I got home, I received an SMS from Sheina before reading her message I got this thought at the back of my head that maybe something came up and we won't be able to pursue with our plan. And I was right! She wrote in her message that we won't be able to do things as planned because Kuya Rod, our other dialer admin can't make it to work and Sheina needs to take over for his shift. Sigh. We were already excited and all of of a sudden somebody jinxed it! Arghhhh.... Grrrrr!!!! Anyway, so much of that, I just hope Kuya Rod's reason is 'reasonable' enough to ruin our day. Heheheh.

I watched
Its a Boy/Girl Thing this morning its a cute movie. Full of funny and hilarious scenes! Cute couple too. By the way have you imagined yourself stuck in a guy's body or if you're a guy, the other way around? I just did. But I can hardly imagine how will I put up with it, like me (in a guy's body) drooling over a guy. People will think that I'm a fag! I'm ok with the clothes but I still love seeing myself in a girl's clothing. Though there are pros too being in this situation like being able to use the guy's locker room and bath (can you imagine the whole scenery in there?:p), being able to talk to them and all. But still those won't convince me... I'm a girl and will always be one. Oh crap, enough of this switching bodies thought. I'm not making sense anymore.

Ei, people out there if you are one of those coffeeholics (is there such a word?) drop by at any Starbucks nearest to you later at around 10AM-12NN, they're giving out free 12 oz coffee for their
'Coffee Break'. I would love to have a free coffee later but I can't stay that long, I need to sleep because I still have work come night time. Waaaaahhhhh another reason to cry. And because of that I'm planning to write to Starbucks.

"Dear Starbucks,I so HATE you!!!LOVE,Tin" ----Hahaha (I know I've earned 3-corny-points for this)

To all of us who can't make it to Starbucks' coffee break tomorrow, boohooo! Sorry, we still have next year... plan ahead, make sure you're free for the coffee break next year! And to all the others who can, boohoo to you too! May you be caffeine-overdosed. Hahahaha. Am I being mean or what? Just kidding though! May you all have a good time!

Thinking Way Too Hard

Hi Everyone! I know it's been ages since I last updated this little 'blogspot', its just that my hands were tied-up for the past weeks. I've been busy with... actually I don't know what I've been busy about. :p Hahaha I just remember something, there was this call that I got. It was from a girl telemarketer, she asked me if I am a citibank credit card holder and I said yes and she went on with her spiel, trying to sell something. I cut her off without being rude before she'll get me into buying a cellphone with vacuum cleaner and told her "Miss I know that you are only doing your job, but I should say that I don't really have time, my hands are quite tied-up today" and guess what she said? "Maam, ano po ba nangyari sa hands n'yo?" She really made my day, because of her comment I was laughing so hard, and I was able to wear a smile the entire day despite my toxic work.

Anyway, nothing much happened to me. Just the usual work-home routine. I wasn't able to go out with friends nor go malling or just anywhere, I was like possessed by my room, I don't feel like leaving it, aside from going to work of course, which is mandatory. And speaking of work, every thing's fine. I wasn't able to leave the company I've been working for for the past year and a half. I'm thinking about a career shift but seriously I still don't know what 'path' I'm going to take. Last week I asked my brother if he came to the point where he knows what he wants to do for the rest of his life, because I'm way far that stage. And he said that I don't need to worry 'coz I'm not the only person who feels that way, he shares the same sentiments and maybe there are lots of others out there too. He's been working for about five years now, he's been switching jobs, but he's still not sure of what he really wants to do for the rest of his life. I've been through three different jobs (same company) but none of those made me feel that I want to do that certain job for the rest of my life.

Though I don't want to pressure myself, but I can't help but think about it most of the time. Do you think I was just trying so hard? You can't blame me, its plain and simple I don't want to end up miserable doing things that
are not really the things I want to do and regretting things I should have done. God I'm only (turning) 22 but I've been thinking a lot! I'm not really a planner but that thought really hit me big time. And makes me want to plan the future ahead. I'm planning on going back to school and study something different and I mean way far different from IT. I'm considering art, but what kind of art? Music? Fashion design? Fine arts? The heck, no one told me that planning the future could be this hard. Hmnn... but I think music should be taken off the list, so that left me with two choices. I must say I really need a break to think about stuff. I'm planning on taking off from work last week of this month... Its sort of getting away and thinking kind of thing for me. Because when I'm just around work, my thinking doesn't make sense sometimes, unfair, and biased.

Anyway, I'll be working 10 nights straight then I'm off to my much awaited vacay! Hope you guys have a great summer. And its almost my birthday don't forget to send me your your gifts! :p I just love presents!

Oh, I almost forgot I want to greet 'my friend' a happy birthday. I won't name names because he might make a big deal out of this greeting. CLUE: He's one of those unrequited love that I had experienced, and his birthday is sometime this week? :p

Way Back Into Love

My current LSS...
I love this song, and the movie as well...

Way Back Into Love (demo version)
by Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore

Way Back Into Love
by Hugh Grant and Haley Bennet

I’ve been living with a shadow overhead
I’ve been sleeping with a cloud above my bed
I’ve been lonely for so long
Trapped in the past, I just can’t seem to move on

I’ve been hiding all my hopes and dreams away
Just in case I ever need em again someday
I’ve been setting aside time
To clear a little space in the corners of my mind
All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can’t make it through without a way back into love
Oh oh oh

I’ve been watching but the stars refuse to shine
I’ve been searching but I just don’t see the signs
I know that it’s out there
There’s got to be something for my soul somewhere
I’ve been looking for someone to shed some light
Not just somebody just to get me throught the night
I could use some direction
And I’m open to your suggestions

All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can’t make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart again
I guess I’m hoping you’ll be there for me in the end
There are moments when I don’t know if it’s real
Or if anybody feels the way I feel
I need inspiration Not just another negotiation

All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can’t make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart to you
I’m hoping you’ll show me what to do
And if you help me to start again
You know that I’ll be there for you in the end

Boyfriends and Bestfriends

I just watched the latest episode of The Hills and I can't help myself not to make an entry about it. I can relate to it. Last week it was about team The Hills girls versus team Spencer. And now it's a match between Heidi and Spencer versus Lauren. I was ok with the idea of Heidi and Spencer getting back in each other's arms, though Spencer is not really the kind of guy I would like to go out with. He's some kind of a jerk. But if Heidi's happy with him then let her be, but I also want Heidi to understand Lauren, and listen to what she says about them being together and about Spencer being the cheater that he is. It's like their friendship is at stake with Heidi dating douchebag Spencer.

It's so sad when you know that your bestfriend's boyfriend is cheating on her and you tell her about it and she doesn't believe you. And sometimes she even take it against you. I've been in that kind of drama. And my friend thinks that I don't understand her and doesn't want to see her happy. And her boyfriend also constantly telling my bestfriend that I was just making up stories to ruin their relationship, and that I'm not being a true friend to my bestfriend. He even told her that I was just jealous of them because they were happy and thinks that I envy her because I just broke up with my cheating boyfriend that time. It is really disappointing to know that my bestfriend doesn't believe me and have chosen her cheating boyfriend over me when the whole world is telling her that her boyfriend is a jerk, nah its too harsh, ok a player. I was upset because I don't want to see her making the same mistakes that I did. I know what and how it feels like being cheated and being manipulated. And I really don't want our friendship to end because of a guy who's not even worth a cent. We've been there for each other for almost forever and in just a snap her boyfriend would take that away. We almost outgrown each other, but after some time my bestfriend woke up and realize that her boyfriend isn't worth our friendship. I was glad that she finally saw the light, but I was also sad because she have to learn it the hard way, even harder. When we fixed things up, she asked me "what was I thinking? I believed my boyfriend for three months over my bestfriend for forever!". I told her that was just a bump in our friendship, to test each other's trust. And now we're still bestfriends, though we don't see each other on a daily basis but we know in our hearts that we are friends and no one can tear us apart, even boyfriends!

I also bumped into a video in dailymotion, Tyra Banks Show and the guests were the The Hills Girls. Here it is...

the hills - the tyra banks show.

It's Getting Better

It's getting better each day, and I'm getting better with this too. Night shifts and no RDs are fine for me now, it's like I'm getting used to it. It's like a new habit for me, and I'm really getting better. I'm quite surprised because I don't whine about this kind of stuff now. I have accepted this lifestyle with arms wide open, I've learned to embrace it. Sleeping at daytime for me now is not a big deal anymore, I even have longer sleeping hours and I get to do the things I always wanted to do these past months. And no RDs? That's perfectly fine for me... I don't have enough time to be just bumming around, or just idling. And I don't get to think about anything. I'm living every single moment of my life now. I now focus on today and tomorrow and I no longer linger on the past. For quite sometime, I can say that I changed the way I lived my life. This is so great for me. And night shifts and no RDs for me makes time flies so quickly. And with this kind of life, I'm beginning to have a better perspective and appreciate simple things and joys of each day. I'm wondering why I wasn't able to see clearly before, my life was blurry. I am really thankful for this.

And I'm also considering patching some things up with my dad... My step sister sent me a message the other day, wanting me and my brother to visit them in Fairview. I almost said yes, but on second thought.. I think I'm not yet ready. Is there really a 'not ready' in patching up differences in one's family? Don't get me wrong but I don't think I can handle more drama and stress in my life now. Though I miss them a lot, my father and his cooking, my step siblings and the house helps there.

I don't want to hurry things... I want it to go slowly but surely. ..

The Week Never Ends For Me

I've been working for two weeks now, night shift, no RDs, and also my 4th night of working alone. Which means, I have my own time, I do everything my way, also I'll be the sole person to blame when something/everything goes wrong. Good thing, good luck's been with me. I'm not really complaining about this... In fact, I see it now as a blessing in disguise.. I'll earn more because of the night differential and RDOT! Yey! Can't wait till it's pay day! And also I'll get all the reason in this world to take a break from work next week, since I've been working non-stop! I'm also thankful for these RDOTs because I was able to watch all the Heroes episodes that I missed, and I was also able to watch Smallville's most recent episode. I'm excited on both series' upcoming episodes.

I am also excited 'coz Bridge to Terabithia will be showing soon, on the 21st to be exact. And we have plans of watching that movie on the first day of showing. Though I always tell myself not to be very excited about it because the movie might disappoint me. Because most books that I've read that were filmed were not that good. Maybe I expected to much, but I also understand that not every part of the book will be captured on film because the film will only run for about a couple of hours and they won't be able to put every single detail on it. But I'm still hoping that they will make a good film, that's worth the penny I'm going to pay to watch it.

Anyway, I'm going back to work.. Monitoring the dialer, YM, listening to music, reading an e-book and etc... That's work for me! :p

I'll leave you with one of the lines from Bridge to Terabithia, "Close your eyes, but keep your mind wide open". Hope you had a good weekend everyone! I didn't have a good one, simply because I never had a weekend. The week never ends for me, busy bee! :p

Merci... Gracias... Salamat... Thank You...

This entry is about the things that makes me feel alive. I feel so happy and grateful for everything that happened, is happening and will happen in my life. I have a good job, but I'll also have a great job after I quit my current job. :p I have great friends around me. I know I can call on them anytime that I need them, and I also get to hang out with them as often as I want/can. I feel so blessed for having a great family too! They were and will always be there for me. They share my ups and downs. They laugh when I laugh and they also cry when I feel bad. They all share my sentiments.

I know all people are thankful for those three that I've mentioned, but now I'll be thanking some things that we thought that are "just things" in our house, we see them plainly, but as plain as they may seem to you these things make my day and define the way I live my life.

I am also grateful for all the things that I have, I feel like I deserve them all, not only that I worked hard to earn or have them, but those things also makes me happy. I am thankful for my bed 'coz even I sleep at daytime I still feel comfortable lying on it, also special thanks to my soft pillows and my warm blanket. They all make my sleeping time special. I am thankful for our little idiot box at home, that little thing accompanies me when I'm home alone and bored. My dear laptop, who puts up with me the whole night when sleep refuses to visit me. And for my mobile phone who always helps me to get connected with the people I care about. I am also thankful for my piled up laundry, because that means I have enough clothes to wear. I am also thankful for my books they bring me to places that I have never been and they let me meet people that I never imagined meeting in the real world. They made me feel the things that I never felt in my entire life, and also made me feel how it feels like being in other people's shoes. For my COSMO magazines, that keeps me updated on everything that's happening and for keeping me motivated in everything that I do, and the best part of that is making me feel how fun it is being a girl... Oops, I think that's the slogan of Kamiseta.... Anyway, also a shout out to my alarm clock that goes off that means that I'm still alive and will be able to get up, get dress and go to work. And for my pen and paper that doesn't complain when sometimes all I do is just scribble on them. And for my paintbrushes and water colors that are even harder than a rock now... they remind me that I know how to appreciate things and is capable of painting them on a piece of canvass.

There are a lot of things that I am thankful for... for the MTV's The Hills, for Lauren and the girls for living up my Hollywood dream, which I came to finally accept that it will forever be a dream. For the 'The OC' people, for Smallville who gives me the illusion that super heroes exist. For the charmed ones, they made me realize that not all witches are bad.. In fact, I sometimes dream of being one of them. Oh my... I didn't realize that there so many things that I should be thankful for... If I'll go on I think it'll take me days to enumerate all the things that I'm thankful for. How about you? What are the things that you are grateful of?

The Holiday

Yesterday, K'Anne and I picked Sheina up from work. We had late lunch, window shopped a little, watched a movie, had a good cup of coffee (with the purple straw, K'Anne said) and had quite a long talk. We talked about work, since K'Anne and kuya Red left we (Sheina and I)already have thoughts of quitting our current job, but we're not even finding a new one. What a paradox. But we've been referred by some friends and officemates. In fact, I'm torn (not again) between quitting or staying. I already talked to my brother and Sheina and K'Anne and they all have the same answer, "Think about it. But with the offer they're giving... Go!" I'm not really sure what I want this time. I must admit the offer is really tempting, it's twice as much as I'm earning. Sheina also have some plans in mind, she's been referred by her friend to an international company, and she told me that if ever she'll get in she'll refer me too! Wouldn't that be great? I just hope that things will work out for my team if I/we will be leaving, because there'll be only 3 or 2 of them. Schedule is hard that there are 4 of us in the team, it'll get harder for sure! Anyway, my "future employer" wants to have my answer on Monday, honestly until now I'm not yet decided. I'm still waiting for the sign to show up.

Anyway, last night I wasn't able to sleep maybe because my body clock is used to sleeping at day time now or maybe I was overdosed with caffeine. Since I can't sleep I ended up doing a movie marathon. I watched 3 movies! And I also did this... (see paragraphs below :p) Though, I didn't really compose it, but I transcribed it. It's from the movie we watched yesterday, The Holiday. This really struck me... Hope this will have a great impact to you as it did on me.. Read on..

"I've found almost everything ever written about love to be true. Shakespeare said "Journeys end in lovers meeting." What an extraordinary thought. Personally, I have not experienced anything remotely close to that, but I am more than willing to believe Shakespeare had. I suppose I think about love more than anyone really should. I am constantly amazed by its sheer power to alter and define our lives. It was Shakespeare who also said "love is blind". Now that is something I know to be true. For some quite inexplicably, love fades; for others love is simply lost. But then of course love can also be found, even if just for the night. And then, there's another kind of love: the cruelest kind. The one that almost kills its victims. Its called unrequited love. Of that I am an expert. Most love stories are about people who fall in love with each other. But what about the rest of us? What about our stories, those of us who fall in love alone? We are the victims of the one sided affair. We are the cursed of the loved ones. We are the unloved ones, the walking wounded. The handicapped without the advantage of a great parking space! Yes, you are looking at one such individual. And I have willingly loved that man for over three miserable years! The absolute worst years of my life! The worst Christmas', the worst Birthday's, New Years Eve's brought in by tears and valium. These years that I have been in love have been the darkest days of my life. All because I've been cursed by being in love with a man who does not and will not love me back. Oh god, just the sight of him! Heart pounding! Throat thickening! Absolutely can't swallow! All the usual symptoms." --Iris (narrating), The Holiday

"Iris, in the movies we have leading ladies and we have the best friend. You, I can tell, are a leading lady, but for some reason you are behaving like the best friend.
Iris: You're so right. You're supposed to be the leading lady of your own life, for god's sake! Arthur, I've been going to a therapist for three years, and she's never explained things to me that well. That was brilliant. Brutal, but brilliant. " --Arthur Abbott, The Holiday

"Shush. You broke my heart. And you acted like somehow it was my fault, my misunderstanding, and I was too in love with you to ever be mad at you, so I just punished myself! For years! But you waltzing in here on my lovely Christmas holiday, and telling me that you don't want to lose me whilst you're about to get MARRIED, somehow newly entitles me to say, it's over. This - This twisted, toxic THING between us, is finally finished! I'm miraculously done being in love with you! Ha! I've got a life to start living."--Iris , The Holiday

“Listen, I know its hard to believe people when they say ‘I know exactly how you feel’, but I actually know how you feel. You see I was … uhm… seeing someone back in London we worked for the same newspaper and then I found out that he was seeing this other girl, Sarah from the circulation department on the 19th floor. Turned out that he was not in love with me like I thought. I understand feeling as small and as insignificant as humanly possible. And how it can actually ache in places you didn't know you had inside you. And it doesn't matter how many new haircuts you get, or gyms you join, or how many glasses of chardonnay you drink with your girlfriends... you still go to bed every night going over every detail and wonder what you did wrong or how you could have misunderstood. And how in the hell for that brief moment you could think that you were that happy. And sometimes you can even convince yourself that he'll see the light and show up at your door. And after all that, however long all that may be, you'll go somewhere new. And you'll meet people who make you feel worthwhile again. And little pieces of your soul will finally come back. And all that fuzzy stuff, those years of your life that you wasted, that will eventually begin to fade." --Iris (to Miles), The Holiday

And also last night we talked about our heart's status and since we all worked as database developer/administrator we gave it a little twist. We'll answer it using syntax or procedures of SQL Servers.

"What's your heart's status as of the moment?"

K'Anne: "DELETING ... (paused) pero may BEGIN TRAN and ROLLBACK TRAN!" (Pamatay 'to! DELETING is understandable, BEGIN TRAN is used to do a certain process but putting a ROLLBACK TRAN at the end of your code is like reversing everything you did).

Sheina: "UPDATING/NSERTING" (but K'Anne said that SELECT statement suits her and Sheina agreed but added SELECT DISTINCT)

Me: SLEEPING but... RUNNABLE!

So much of my talking.. I need to focus on my work now. BTW, I'm at work now rendering a RDOT. Anyway, its fine with me.... I 'll have reason to call in sick tomorrow. Hehehe. I'm going to attend my niece's baptism.

Ciao. Hope you'll all have a good Valentine's. I bet I'll have a good one! I'm going solo flight to a spa! Hehehe.

P.S. If you want to watch the film but don't have time to watch it in the movie house I'm giving you these links (but i haven't check if these have good quality though):

The Hills and The Girl

What's with the entry title? I just played with the words, 'The Hills' and 'Kiss the Girl'. The Hills Season 2 is now airing on MTV I am so happy and excited about it since the last episode of season 1. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to watch it on MTV last January 15. Good thing, I found a site that hosts that video, I was able to download it this morning... Tadaa! I'll be watching it any minute from now! I am so thankful for those file sharing sites, I'll be able to watch episodes of any shows that I missed. I owe you a lot and I so love you! Heheheh

Anyway, here's the full trailer of
The Hills Season 2...

If you want a video of that episode, just tell me and I can give you..

Have you watched
The Little Mermaid, the first one, where Ariel was the little mermaid? Anyway, do you still remember the songs in that movie? I do! I can still sing it now, I memorized each song by heart even the lines of the characters! I'm such a mermaid fanatic when I was young, I even got hooked on Marina before! Hahahaha! Let's keep that as our little secret, okey? Anyway, we also had an activity during my senior year in high school where every year level should present a Disney play, and we presented the The Little Mermaid. But I wasn't Ariel nor any of her sisters, I played Vanessa. You know her? She's a villain! Actually, she's Ursula, she morphed into a beautiful lady with Ariel's voice (Ursula got Ariel's voice as payment for her feet) , who will steal the prince from Ariel. As they say the rest is history... Anyway, I'm writing this entry because I bumped into a video of 'Kiss the Girl' , one of the songs in that movie but not the Sebastian version. I just find it cute, Ashley made a good and cute version of the song. (Ashley, is High School Musical's Sharpay Evans, the blond girl.) And here it is..

Ashley Tisdale - Kiss The Girl

I was thinking of a title for this post a while ago, I almost named this post as 'Kiss the Hills' . Hahaha but I don't think it's appropriate. :p

Ciao.

(Don't laugh... alam ko last week lang Incubus yung sinasabi ko, then Hilary Duff, now Ashley Tisdale... next week... hmnn... watch out!)

The Classic

Today isn't as ordinary as my other days at work. One proof that this isn't like any other day, I wasn't late for work. I arrived just on time, literally on time no more no less. I was really glad that I made it on time today, I didn't even take the cab! But I had no time to celebrate for that achievement... I was also very pressured this morning just as our Aussie campaign started, why? It's because our strata engine today got crazy! It doesn't read the leads that we have loaded. I tried almost everything to get it working but to no avail. I had no choice but to call on our supervisor. Good thing the strategy he suggested worked. I edited the task on the dynacall and voila! It worked! ... I know you think that I'm nuts.. talking about stuff not all people know.. but I just want to let it out. I was really nervous.. tensed.. confused.. I caused an hour of downtime! And come to think of how much money's lost because of that downtime?! Geesh! But my supervisor said that I need not worry because it's really an application problem, and it doesn't have to do with the dialer administrator. Huh! Upon hearing that I was relieved. Thank god!

Anyway, after that... I relaxed myself by listening to the
Princess Hours' OST, I already got a copy of those, my colleague downloaded it for me. (napapaghalata na ba talagang adik na ako dun? hehehe)

And after my soundtrip I watched
The Classic, another Korean movie. Actually, I just finished watching it. And until now my eyes are still sore. I was really trying my best not to cry (I was afraid my officemates would see me) but my tears won over me. Sniff. K'Anne you didn't warn me that that movie was a tearjerker. Sniff. It's a good movie, if you want to fall in love and be sentimental and emotional, or if you want to to cry over something but afraid to let it show watch this movie so you'll have all the reasons in this world to cry.

Here's the synopsis of the movie >>>>>

One more day, and I'm off from work. My rest days are almost here! I can see them waving at me! We're just a night away! Rest days I'm dying to see you ASAP! :p

Anyway, it's getting late... need to go home now and catch up on some
Nick and Disney shows that I love! And it's The OC day today and I almost forgot I need to catch the Incubus concert today on MYX! I'm really hard to spell, right? I watch different kinds of shows... I'm not stereo-typed, and that's what makes me unique!

And FYI, I'm also listening to Hilary Duff's songs now! Hehehehe... Unpredictable(
jologs ba yun?)!

Ciao.

Nonsense Blabbing

Today is such a lazy day, I woke up late.. And what do you expect? I arrived at work late too! Hehehe. I'm here at work, multi-tasking! Monitoring the dialer, listening to music, blogging, surfing the net and eating my breakfast. Anyway, do you consider eating stik-o as a meal? Hehehe. I almost forgot I'm also chatting with some friends now and also waiting for Zoey 101 and The OC videos to buffer... I am really a multi-tasker, I'm proud and so loving it! (Wasting company time again... :p)

After campaign monitoring today, I'm going to watch videos again! Yippee! Lucky me! But after my shift today, I'm going to the supermarket to do our grocery shopping and buy some stuff maybe.. and I'll also pick-up our laundry this afternoon. I'm such a busy bee. But for sure I won't go impulsive buying, coz I don't have enough money.. heheheh maybe tomorrow... Tomorrow's a happy day.. it's payday! Shhhh!

Anyway, I'm going back to my work... So much company time wasted and I don't think I'm making sense now.

Ciao.

Crossing the Bridge

I don't really feel like blogging today but on second thought I just felt that I need to let my thoughts out. So, here I am trying to "let it all out" . It's been two weeks since we came back from our Big Fat Greek Holiday and since mom left for Zamboanga. I'm really missing her and other family members already. I miss my dad and mom (my grandparents, we call them dad and mom) so much. Especially now that my dad is sickly. I am dying to come home to the province, I want to see them so badly. I miss my daddy so much!

Also, I've been very confused this past week. I'm the kind of person that 'crosses the bridge when I get there', but here I am right at the start of the bridge and undecided whether to cross or not to cross. I'm in the point that I need to decide if I would like to stay or leave in what I have and what I am now.

I am tempted to leave, there's a part of me thinks that there may be greener pastures and greater heights that awaits me somewhere if I'll leave, but there's also this little voice inside me that's having cold feet. What if I'll leave now and found out later that the pasture is greener and the heights are greater here than in the place that I'll be if I'll leave? What if I fail? And what if I’ll loose the chance of a lifetime if I will stay? Sigh. I think I’m going crazy weighing things out. This is really a tough and hard point of my life. Any decision I’ll choose will make my life turn 360 degrees, and there’s no way of turning it back just the way it is.

I need all the enlightenment that I could get.

Big Fat Greek Holiday

Afroessa Hotel

Our hotel room

Fira, Santorini

Two weeks after my Big Fat Greek Holiday! At the first day of our trip, we spent the whole day exploring the hotel that we were staying. We were staying at the Afroessa Hotel, it is located in Fira, the capital of Santorini. The hotel is just a five minute walk to the shops of Fira, unfortunately my mom and brother kept reminding me that our trip is exclusively a family bonding trip and NOT a shopping trip. So sad.. I was really drooling over the fabulous shops there. But.. nothing can stop me from spending my own money... I still get to buy something for myself as my souvenir but after that I didn't spend a cent na kasi ang mahal pagkinonvert mo sa piso mamumulubi ako!!!

I'll upload our pics later after my shift. :p

Last Post for 2006?

This would probably be my last entry for this month and this year, in case I won't be able to update tomorrow. I'm here at work spending the last 3 minutes of my shift blogging (after spending more than 8 hours of watching Princess Hours:p). We are leaving tonight, we are going to celebrate new year's eve at the wedding/honeymoon island of Santorini in Greece. I've been dying to be on that island since the first time I heard about it. From the leaflet that I've got the view is very breathtaking! I'll be taking tons of pictures there! Hehehe. I had a good start this 2006, and I hope to beat that on 2007 if not maybe just as good as this year will be perfectly fine. It's only 5 hours before our departure time. My bags are all packed and I'm ready to go! (humming Leaving on a Jetplane

)
See you all tomorrow if not, just next year! Wheheheh! If I'll be able to log tomorrow, I'll write about our trip and some recap on what happened this year.

I'm off the office... Ciao!

Have a Happy, Happy New Year! :D

Post Christmas Post

How did you spend your christmas?

I spent mine at my aunt's house in Antipolo, we really had a great time! All fun! We had a great feast too! There were lots of food. We also had our DVD marathon of Princess Hours! Hahaha! This is my favorite Korean series now after My Girl, the story is great, it's like a modern-day Cinderella but with a HUGE twist! (Is it just me or I've been really using this 'HUGE' word?) Hehehe Anyway, we also went to my cousin's friend's resort on the night of the 25th, it's somewhere in Teresa in Antipolo. We had drinking spree, my relatives had their videoke moments and some cousins went swimming. I was only indulged on my texting spree and some booze. Though I was sick since the 22nd, it didn't hinder me to have fun still. But on the 26th my body gave up, I thought I only had the ordinary fever and cough, and clogged and runny nose alternating. But I found out I was already down with flu, I was really, really sick. And because of that I wasn't able to come with my office buddies on their post Christmas Happening in a hotel in Manila. I was really sad, if only I could get out from the hospital and take my dextrose with me to the hotel, I might have done it. Hahaha! The receptionist in the hotel might think that I went to the wrong place("Miss hindi po ito hospital, hotel po itong napuntahan n'yo!") Hahaha it would be fun! But I know I can't do it... I really felt I missed half of my life. I don't want them to elaborate what they did that time coz I don't want to feel bad and sad, but I know for sure they had lots and lots of fun just judging on the pictures they took. Sigh.

Anyway, I was discharged from the hospital 27th after lunch, but my officemate called me that no one will man the shift that night so I was forced to report for work. See how lucky a person can get? Another reason to sigh. I didn't really feel well that time but I had no choice. I didn't help myself that night, I dozed off, three hours I think. Heheheh. That's the price they had to pay for making work at a bad shape. heheheh. Good thing there was a 3-hour downtime so I had the license to have my nap time. Thank god, I'm still born lucky. Heheheh.

I'm now in the office, but on a day shift again! I'm not so sick, just a little cold. I'm so excited now, I can't wait till the night of the 30th because we're leaving! Yehey! And after tomorrow I'll have my vacation leave and I'll be out of the office for nine days straight!

And oh.. it's almost my blog's anniversary. Kristinions will be turning one! Yippeee! Can't believe I've gone blogging this far...

Have a happy new year everyone!!!

A Day Before Christmas

It's a day after my brother's birthday, a day before Christmas, I am sick and I am here in the office working. I am really sick, I was down with fever since Friday and I also have this terrible dry cough and this runny nose but it's not enough reason for me not to be here working, and to think today is my rest day. See how lucky I can get this Christmas?

Anyway, mom arrived last night just in time for my brother's birthday celebration. We had a very intimate family dinner, minus the dad. I already accepted the fact that when I speak of 'family' it's just and will always be me, my mom and my brother. I'm not bitter, I'm only stating facts.

And later tonight we're going up to Antipolo, we'll be celebrating Christmas with my mom's cousin's family. I know it will be fun! Last year I wasn't able to celebrate Christmas with my mom, we celebrated it with my dad and his family but this year it will be different. We're going to celebrate Christmas with mom again. I am looking forward to it. I don't know if dad will remember us tomorrow, I'm hoping that he will but I'm not expecting.. It's a different thing.

Anyway, so much of the drama it's only 11 hours before Christmas. I should be going home now.

Have a merry Christmas everyone!

Unwritten

I am so into 'The Hills' and Lauren/LC of course. And I also love the show's theme. The lyrics of the song is so true.

UNWRITTEN
--Natasha Bedingfield
(current LSS)

I am unwritten,
Can't read my mind
I'm undefined
I'm just beginning
The pen's in my hand
Ending unplanned

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words
That you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten Oh

Oh, oh

I break tradition
Sometimes my tries
Are outside the lines
We've been conditioned
To not make mistakes
But I can't live that way oh, oh

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words
That you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten

My Christmas Wishlist

It's already the 12th, 13 more days to go before christmas. I just can't wait for that day. Anyway, since it's almost christmas I'll write here some things I wanted for the holidays.

1. I want to have those two books by (surprise) Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist and By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept, Lauren Weisberger's Everyone Worth Knowing and Mitch Albom's For One More Day. I know I wrote it before that I already got these books, unfortunately, I lost them. I was in this coffee shop and I think I left my bagful of books there. How sad... Though I already read those books I'll still be very happy if I'll get to keep a copy of those.

2. A coin purse, I really want to have a coin purse. I had one but my cousin took it from me, literally. She was like inlove with my coin purse when she saw it and she just got all my pennies out from the purse and place it in a plastic-like purse, or whatever you call it and she took my coin purse like it was hers. But I know somebody got me a purse already, was it you K'Anne? (assuming)

3. A necklace from Tiffany's. Calling the attention of mom and bro... I'm still expecting to have that gift before the holidays. Hehehe. Demanding!

4. Season 1 DVD of The Hills, I don't know I'm not really fond of reality shows but I just love that show. I'm hoping that Season 2 will be airing soon. Go Lauren! Also, I'm some kind of a Nick fanatic so Zoey 101 and Unfabulous will do. Don't laugh! I know it's a teenybopper show, but who cares I enjoy watching those shows! (walang pakialamanan) I watch Laguna Beach too. I like Lauren but I also like Kristin though she's being a beyotch at times.

That's it! But I don't really care if I won't have any of those. I just want to have a good time during the holidays with family and freinds. A christmas card, a phone call, a text and an e-mail will be greatly appreciated.

Looking Forward

Woohoo! Veinte más días antes de Navidad! Soy apenas tan feliz! I really can't wait till its christmas, and I also can't wait till our 13th month pay will be released. :D

Anyway, Kuya Red told me before that Bridge to Terabithia is now on film. I checked the trailer earlier and the visual effects are great, because it is by Weta Digital (Lord of the Rings, King Kong) and of course they have Warner Bros. as the producer. I can't wait for this movie to be released. I so love this book by Katherine Patterson.

Happy Feet

We've got the happiest feet last Thursday. First we went to a Call Center Expo at the EDSA Shangrila, the event was 'uneventful' but the food were really great! The salad, steak... and specially the desserts! We all love it! We had our pictorial again. And this time with more people... and most of it were taken inside the ladies' room. Hehehe. So don't be surprised if you'll see tissue papers and all...

After lunch or after the event, we went to EDSA Shang (mall) to watch Happy Feet, we got there at quarter to 1, but the movie already started at 12:40 so we need to wait for the next show, good thing Happy Feet is also shown in Cinema 1 at 1:40 so we bought our tickets right away! After buying our tickets we acompany Kitty near the MRT station for she's going back to work (poor kitty). When we got to the 4th floor, we saw Power Station so we decided to spend some time and dime there. We played the table hockey and we shot some hoops! We took photos and videos of us. We were having a really fun time!

Then when its half past 1 we went off to the cinema, but before that we saw the canopy (whatever you call that) for Happy Feet. We wanted our picture to be taken there, so we asked some manong/kuya to take our pic. Luckily he was kind enough to give in to our whims. So there, we had our picture!

We went straight to the cinema after. It is a very funny family movie! Mumble is just sooo cute... and so is Ramon (i'm starting to love him na nga eh). And the sound effects are so great, as well as the voices of the people behind the animated characters. Kudos Warner Bros.!

Okei, so that's all we did for that day. And take note we were awake since Wednesday afternoon, and we barely slept or napped while we were on the night shift... I just don't know with K'Anne... Hehehehe

If you want to see our pics.. Just click here.

Woohoo!

Pacman won! I don't care if this post is a little too late, what matters is Pacquiao won. Period. He made every Filipino in the world very proud to be Pinoy! He is so great in his field. Sa sobrang galing nya... nabitin ako sa fight nila ni Morales. Ang bilis kasi, parang whirlwind! Hehehe. Pero ok lang... panalo naman ang pinoy eh!

OK na si Pacquiao na maging boksingero at negosyante at the same time.

Anyway.. ganyan talaga buhay! Mabuhay ka Pacman!

Christmas is Almost Here

My to-die for rest days are here again... Just three more hours before my week officially ends! Life is so great! It just seemed like yesterday was Tuesday and I had a hard time getting my self up for work.. and now it's already Sunday! Geez, how quickly time flies by. We won't notice it but soon it will be Decemeber, and that means only one thing, christmas! As I wrote before Decemember is one of my favorite months. For the obvious reason... And also it's the time of the year where everybody is happy. People put aside their problems for a while for the merriment of the season. And even you have loads on your shoulders just seeing the surroundings full of christmas decors, makes your load lighter and even makes you feel better.

Christmas, if not the happiest but, is one of the happiest holidays on earth. And we filipinos do a lot of preparations for the holiday. For one, we decorate our homes with joyous decors, we go christmas shopping not only for ourselves but for everyone we love, even for some persons that we don't know. my family does that, when someone we don't know comes knocking on our door on christmas day we give them something, like christmas give-aways. Its our simple way of sharing our blessings to the less fortunate. And last but not the least... We prepare a very sumptous and joyous feast on the eve of christmas.

What I love about christmas is the Simbang Gabi, which I haven't completed the 9 mornings yet ever, coz it seems like something comes up or just me feeling too lazy to get-up early in the morning. I also like the decorating part... I love decorating our house. I also love shopping for christmas presents, I like giving gifts but I love receiving gifts more! Hahahaha. I won't be hypocrite here... tell me who among you who doesn't want to receive presents? Raise your feet! Hehehehe. Though I know that "it's better to receive than to give... err to give than to receive" but ... I love receiving presents still!

Also I love the food, though I don't really help prepare. I only do the taste test and of course the eating! And... last but not the least.. I love the christmas gatherings.. be it with family... close friends... high school batchmates.. college firends.. company... organizations... affiliations... or simply the village's christmas party.

The only not-so-downside of christmas for me is.. you spend more.. and you eat more than the usual! But I already planned for that before-hand.. About the spending.. I already saved some money for that just a month after the year started, and I'm trying my hardest not to eat much these past months.. err weeks.. or days I think to prepare for the christmas feast.

Haaaayyy... I'm so excited. I just can't wait till its christmas..

Have a happy weekend evreryone... And pray that Pacquiao wins! Hehehehe

Busy Me

During my rest days I did nothing but sleep. Last Sunday I slept at noon then I woke up the following morning. I can feel my back aching because of oversleeping I think. Then yesterday, I made myself useful and I tidied or place. And its clutter-free now! Yay! Thanks to me! Also after cleaning, I had my dose of reading, its a book called The Java Man, I must admit it was boring but I don't know what keeps me glued to it. Maybe because part of me expects or wants to read something good from it. Or maybe there would be a twist in the story. True, there's a twist in the story and that's the only thing that keeps me going with that book. For me, only a quarter of that book is worht reading... the rest? nah! Don't ask.. it only made me sleepy the whole time I was reading it

After reading the book, I switch to writing. I'm writing a fictional story, I already wrote the first few chapters of the story. I already have the plot in mind. the story is like a film that is shown in my head, it keeps rolling everytime I close my eyes. I so like this story, I have my heart and soul in it. If ever this will the longest composition I ever made.

Anyway, first working day of the week for me. And I'm pretty sure I got a very long week ahead of me. With all the training and campaign monitoring. But I know it pays to be good, so I'll be good! Hehehe Ciao.

XOXO

Update

It's already November and I haven't updated my little blog since mom arrived. Anyway, I had a great time when mom was here, yeah she's left last Tue. We've got to visit our relatives when she was here and my brother and I were able to meet some of our second degree cousins. When mom was here I barely slept, we always have itineraries for the day. We go shopping, visit our relatives, go shopping again, dine out and any mother and daughter bonding you can think of. And it really felt good waking up and seeing her face. And also great to have her around because she we felt really pampered, she cooks for us and she helps or rather she keeps our place free of clutter. It was really great having her around, unfortunately she had to leave because she have work in the province. But it's still fine because we'll be seeing each other in a month's time. She'll be here before the holidays. We haven't decided yet as to where to celebrate the holidays but for sure the three of us will be together. Anyway we're still thinking about Santorini, Hongkong or Zamboanga as our holiday destination this year.

Ei, I'm forgetting an important news here... Sheina and I had been transferred from MIS to Technical department. We started last Tuesday here and so far so good. People here are also warm and friendly just like from our previous department. Our job now is not a database developer anymore, we are I dunno what to call it but I think we're most likely Dialer officers. Is there such thing? Hehehe.

oops .. we also had a seminar last Monday at the makati Shangrila. If you want to see our pictures you can view it here.

Anyway got to work, Ciao.

Mom's here

My mom finally arrived in our humble place last night after changing airlines, and delayed flight. I was the one who fetch her at the airport, it was my first time going to the airport commuting and alone. And believe me, it was hard... so many hitches but still I was able to fetch my mom. Hehehe. I won't elaborate everything that I went through... it's just very time consuming. Also, I wasn't able to report for work last night because the three of us, my mom, brother and I had a feast! We had a special reunion dinner and a great time conversing. After dinner, the bed was so tempting so I decided to take a power nap, unfortunately I wasn't able to get up for work. So there... I was absent! Hehehe. I don't have regrets though... It's so worth it

Still about High School Musical
I like this song... so true... I think this is my life's OST as of the moment. Heheheh

When There Was Me and You
Vanessa Anne Hudgens

It's funny when you find yourself
Looking from the outside
I'm standing here but all I want
Is to be over there
Why did I let myself believe
Miracles could happen
Cause now I have to pretend
That I don't really care

I thought you were my fairytale
A dream when I'm not sleeping
A wish upon a star Thats coming true
But everybody else could tell
That I confused my feelings with the truth
When there was me and you

I swore I knew the melody
That I heard you singing
And when you smiled
You made me feel
Like I could sing along
But then you went and changed the words
Now my heart is empty
I'm only left with used-to-be's
And once upon a song

Now I know you're not a fairytale
And dreams were meant for sleeping
And wishes on a star
Just don't come true
Cause now even I can tell
That I confused my feelings with the truth
Because I liked the view
When there was me and you

I can't believe that
I could be so blind
It's like you were floating
While I was falling
And I didn't mind
Cause I liked the view
Thought you felt it too
When there was me and you

Addiction

I'm addicted! This time not only to the idiot box, I'm way over it. Maybe I just got used to not being able to watch TV for quite a while for I've been a nocturnal worker for almost a couple of months, no time for channel surfing and for the couch potato in me. All I do nowadays, is just sleep, eat, shop.. and did I mention sleep? I'm getting all the sleep that I needed. And I feel that I'm gaining weight now, I don't know if it's a good sign or not. Some says it is, but some also says it isn't. Geez, I don't know what to believe now. Anyway back to my addiction/s... I so like Debenhams store now, I like the designer brands they offer: Pineapple, Redherring, Rocha.John Rocha, Jasper Conran, Star.. and a lot more! I'm so into Debenhams now, but not like my being 'into Kamiseta', it's my true love dude! Speaking of Kamiseta, my plans of having my own store will soon be realized! I'm openning my very own shop before the year ends. I'm working on it now. My second addiction... anything oatmeal. Whether oatmeal for for breakfast, lunch or dinner, oatmeal cookie, oatmeal soap... anything so long as it has oatmeal tattooed on it! Third, the High School Musical, I like the movie so much, I watched it a little more than 5 times I think. It's like my childhood favorite movie, the Sound of Music. I just love those kind of movies... musical. They are so lively! And I like the songs too, I mean the whole soundtrack of it. And basing on the number of times I watched it... you bet I memorized the songs by now. And lastly the newest addition to my addiction? Fruit juices! I'm sort of into a fruit juice diet, I can't really live with the fruit only diet literally so I just made it to an 'eat-anything-but-with-fruit-juice'

Reunited soon...

My mom's coming over for the first time to our new place in Mandaluyong on Tuesday... I'm excited to see her... I don't care if she'll go rant again on how I handle my finances... just the thought of her coming over makes me feel really good. Even better. She's like my comfort zone. I can't wait for her to arrive and for us to have our mother and daughter bonding.

Congratulations...

Kuya Red and K'Anne... They're not getting married, ok? They just got regularized. Way to go! Don't forget our treat!

Holidays...

Yay! Christmas is coming... and I can already feel the cool breeze of December... Christmas decors are visible almost everywhere... I sooo lurve christmas... it's the time of the year that everyone's got a reason to be happy. For the obvious reason... But it also means... spending... spending time with family and friends... and spending money for christmas presents. But it's ok, as my BIG sistah puts it 'it's like sharing our blessings..'. Can't wait for christmas to come! But before that, I have the next couple of days as my rest days... a reason to be happy!

My LSS' at the moment...

What I've Been Looking For
(from the movie High School Musical.. I love both versions.)

It’s hard to believe
That I couldn’t see
You were always there beside me

Thought I was alone
With no one to hold
But you were always right beside me

This feeling’s like no other
I want you to know

I’ve never had someone
that knows me like you do
The way you do
I’ve never had someone
as good for me as you
No one like you

So lonely before
I finally found
What I’ve been looking for
diet. And it goes just fine with me, I don't feel so deprived and starved. I still get to eat anything that I want. How about you? Do you have recent addiction/s?

Antipolo Day!

K'Anne and I agreed to visit the cathedral of Nuestra Señora dela Paz Y Buen Viaje (Our Lady Of Peace and Good Voyage) in Antipolo last Monday. And prior to that day I, along with my FTI friends went to hear mass at the Quiapo church. When I told my brother about my going to Quaipo and Antipolo he even teased me that he wants her sister back. He thought that I was possessed or something, 'coz you know... I pray but I'm not really the type who does Visita Iglesia every once in a while. I jokingly answered him with a 'Ano ka ba, I'm even going to Baclaran and Manaoag next week.' And his jaw almost dropped, he just had the shock of his life!

Anyway, K'Anne and I met up at Mc Donalds in Starmall, we haven't been there before that really. It's just that the FX/van terminal to Antipolo is just at the front parking of the mall. We left Manila at past 11. We arrived in Antipolo at past 12 too, then we went straight to the church. Before we reached the church it was already drizzling, luckily each of us brought our own umbrella so it wasn't a hasle at all. When we were about to leave the cathedral, the rain stopped. So we headed out to the pasalubong center, we were welcomed by a lady who's in her thirties, I guess. And she ushered us to her stall, and offered us free taste of her suman and cashew nuts. I ate the suman, but I didn't buy it... Hehehe... K'Anne and I also tasted the cashew nuts, flavored and unflavored and she decided to buy the adobong kasuy, of course she didn't buy it right away. We haggled! Even just for ten pesos, hehehe. It's a good feeling when you're able to haggle. We even managed to ask for dagdag!

After buying the adobong kasuy, we went to look for a restaurant that is just unique in Antipolo. Unfortunately, we didn't get to find one. We asked almost every tricycle driver but all they suggested were fastfood chains, not unique eh? We also asked a tricycle driver to get us to Barrio Fiesta but he told us that it's way too far and we need to pay over a hundred bucks. So we just left the manong that we asked, and continued walking... searching for a good resto. We thought of going to Padi's point, so we went near the gas station to wait for a jeep that will take us to Sumulong highway, we waited for about 15 minutes but still no trace of jeep. So we walked further, and asked a police officer that we saw along the way, but still he can't suggest any resto aside form the fastfood chains. There was also a guy who offered to get us to a kainan and bulaluhan, but we refused. We didn't like the idea. Another tricycle driver offered to take us to Circumferential Road, 'coz he said that there might be restos there that we would somehow like. We gave in. We rode on his tryke, it was just about 5 minutes then he stopped to Alejandro's Grill and Restaurant, he asked us if we wanted to check it. We did, and just decided to have our lunch there. The driver charged us Php35! Not overpricing! (Sarcastic)

We went inside the resto, their guests were only a group of three persons. But since, were near hopeless, we just stayed. There were huts outside the resto, we took the hut that is in the far corner, away from the road but near the shade of the mango trees. I had sisig and K'Anne had sizzling squid and cream of mushroom soup for both of us. It was only I who ordered for rice 'coz K'Anne's on a diet. We were chatting endlessly while having our lunch, we had our pitures taken. We had a great time. We talked about what were going to do next, since we were both not familiar with the place we had no idea. But a memory of hinulugang taktak glided on my mind so I suggested that we go there, and see for ourselves.

After paying for our bill, we waited for a tryke outside the resto. When there was one, we asked the driver to take us to the sakayan to the waterfalls coz we thought that it was also far, but he suggested that he take us there. We asked for the price and he said that it would only cost us Php28, so off we go! When we got there, the trail down to the falls was muddy and slippery due to the rain. There were also a bunch of people there, having 'discussions', i suppose and some of them are just tourists like us, 'coz you know.. they were also taking pictures like us. The national park neither looks good nor bad, its state is somewhere in between. But from the looks of it, I can tell that the place used to be really great. (yeah right, how would it become a national park if it wasn't?) You can also see the trace of the recent super typhoon Milenyo, most of the branches of the trees were broken, there was a landslide, and the basin of the waterfalls is full of broken branches, leaves and some garbage. Its so sorry to see how the once great place had ended that way. Some people are just ungrateful to nature... it is also so sad to know that some people are also the cause of the destruction of nature. But its also great to know that they are planning to restore the national park, but I still think that prevention is better than cure... It only had me wished that they took great care of the place, it wouldn't have come to this state. But even with the destruction... we still managed to take great pitures! hehehehe thanks to our 'photographer' selves. Hehehehe.

After almost an hour, we left the place and went back to the city proper, we got off at McDo, used the toilet, buy us drinks (we were exhausted of the uphill climb from the falls to the exit.). Then went to the terminal... We arrived at Crossing at half past four. I walked K'Anne to the bus stop, then I headed to megamall to pay for my credit card bills and do some grocery shopping. haaayy, I'm not yet married but I get to do the housewives' stuff. I also brought mine and my brother's clothes to the laundromat. coz he asked me too. What a way to end a great day.... :)

Sleepless Again

It was Nhez' birthday yesterday, I greeted her at the eve of her birthday, then she invited me to her party at their house in Cavite. I wasn't really sure if I would go for the reason that I still have work Saturday night. After my shift, I went to FTI to see my friends there, they were still calling when I got there, which means that I must behave. After their calling, Bec, Rey, Joey and I talked about going to the weekend market at the Salcedo (pronounced as : Sal-sey-do hehehe) park here in Makati, but when were about to leave the office we just decided to have breakfast at Jollibee,Export Bank branch at Gil Puyat Ave. We also met up with Nathan and his friend there. While eating we argued as to where we're going after our breakfast, we had Quiapo, Rey's pad and Nhez' party in mind, but we really can't decide. After eating, Bec decided to just go home cause she was already sleepy, Nathan and his friend left, and Joey and I went on our way to Rey's pad. When we almost got there, we decided to surprise Nhez at her party since she wasn't expecting for us to come anymore because we told her earlier that we're not able to make it due to our work schedules.

We took a cab to Landmark, and from there we took a shuttle to Cavite. We were really tired and sleepy, but it was only Joey who fell asleep while on our trip. We got off at Zapote and took a jeepney that will pass at the ADDAS' village in Molino. When we got off at the junction going to ADDAS, we forgot the name of Nhez' street. We just took the tryke and told the driver to take us to Mapacpac's residence, good thing Nhez' family owns some tryke so the drivers were quite familiar about them. We got at Nhez' house at past 12 noon, there were already lots of her neighbors and relatives there, all were having a good time. We saw Nhez' mom and she walked us to Nhez' room, when Nhez saw us she was ecstatic! She didn't expect us to come, 'coz we already had our excuses earlier that day. We talked a little about her recent trip to Bohol and Cebu, then she led us out of her room to eat our lunch. The food were great! I especially love the shrimps, good thing my body was cooperative yesterday... my skin allergy didn't break out.

After eating, we had our videoke sessions, and it was only Joey who's the constant bearer of the microphone, she doesn't share it with us... else she's not familiar with the song. ;))

We left Nhez' house at 3:30 in the afternoon, we took a different route (via Coastal Road), then from Baclaran we took the bus that will pass by Ayala, coz we need to drop Rey at Washington. When were at the bus, the exhaustion is evident on us but that didn't keep us from having fun. We played games on the bus, laugh... talk... we were even like little kids throwing tiny balls of paper on each other. We were very magulo on the bus!

When Rey got off, Joey and I behaved. She even took a nap, i think. We both got off at Boni and I got home at around 6:30 maybe. I set my alarm clock, then I hurriedly flopped myself to bed. I walk up at 8:30PM becasue of my alarm snoozing, but I didn't get up right away, I reset my alarm at 8:45, I extended my sleep for a while. When my alarm goes on again, I had no choice but to get up and get ready for work. I took a bath, put on some clothes (of course), then left the house for work.

It was already 9:52 when I arrived at Ayala. I only had 8 minutes left before my shift starts. I was walking a little too fast... Good thing I got at work at 9:58. Lucky me!

It's now past 5AM but I'm still alive and kicking! I didn't get the chance to take a nap during my break. I was busy surfing the net... and listening to music... Barely 2 more hours to go and my week will officially end! Yippee!

Happy weekend to me, K'Anne and Rey we share the same rest days... :-P
