Mom's here

My mom finally arrived in our humble place last night after changing airlines, and delayed flight. I was the one who fetch her at the airport, it was my first time going to the airport commuting and alone. And believe me, it was hard... so many hitches but still I was able to fetch my mom. Hehehe. I won't elaborate everything that I went through... it's just very time consuming. Also, I wasn't able to report for work last night because the three of us, my mom, brother and I had a feast! We had a special reunion dinner and a great time conversing. After dinner, the bed was so tempting so I decided to take a power nap, unfortunately I wasn't able to get up for work. So there... I was absent! Hehehe. I don't have regrets though... It's so worth it

Still about High School Musical
I like this song... so true... I think this is my life's OST as of the moment. Heheheh

When There Was Me and You
Vanessa Anne Hudgens

It's funny when you find yourself
Looking from the outside
I'm standing here but all I want
Is to be over there
Why did I let myself believe
Miracles could happen
Cause now I have to pretend
That I don't really care

I thought you were my fairytale
A dream when I'm not sleeping
A wish upon a star Thats coming true
But everybody else could tell
That I confused my feelings with the truth
When there was me and you

I swore I knew the melody
That I heard you singing
And when you smiled
You made me feel
Like I could sing along
But then you went and changed the words
Now my heart is empty
I'm only left with used-to-be's
And once upon a song

Now I know you're not a fairytale
And dreams were meant for sleeping
And wishes on a star
Just don't come true
Cause now even I can tell
That I confused my feelings with the truth
Because I liked the view
When there was me and you

I can't believe that
I could be so blind
It's like you were floating
While I was falling
And I didn't mind
Cause I liked the view
Thought you felt it too
When there was me and you

Addiction

I'm addicted! This time not only to the idiot box, I'm way over it. Maybe I just got used to not being able to watch TV for quite a while for I've been a nocturnal worker for almost a couple of months, no time for channel surfing and for the couch potato in me. All I do nowadays, is just sleep, eat, shop.. and did I mention sleep? I'm getting all the sleep that I needed. And I feel that I'm gaining weight now, I don't know if it's a good sign or not. Some says it is, but some also says it isn't. Geez, I don't know what to believe now. Anyway back to my addiction/s... I so like Debenhams store now, I like the designer brands they offer: Pineapple, Redherring, Rocha.John Rocha, Jasper Conran, Star.. and a lot more! I'm so into Debenhams now, but not like my being 'into Kamiseta', it's my true love dude! Speaking of Kamiseta, my plans of having my own store will soon be realized! I'm openning my very own shop before the year ends. I'm working on it now. My second addiction... anything oatmeal. Whether oatmeal for for breakfast, lunch or dinner, oatmeal cookie, oatmeal soap... anything so long as it has oatmeal tattooed on it! Third, the High School Musical, I like the movie so much, I watched it a little more than 5 times I think. It's like my childhood favorite movie, the Sound of Music. I just love those kind of movies... musical. They are so lively! And I like the songs too, I mean the whole soundtrack of it. And basing on the number of times I watched it... you bet I memorized the songs by now. And lastly the newest addition to my addiction? Fruit juices! I'm sort of into a fruit juice diet, I can't really live with the fruit only diet literally so I just made it to an 'eat-anything-but-with-fruit-juice'

Reunited soon...

My mom's coming over for the first time to our new place in Mandaluyong on Tuesday... I'm excited to see her... I don't care if she'll go rant again on how I handle my finances... just the thought of her coming over makes me feel really good. Even better. She's like my comfort zone. I can't wait for her to arrive and for us to have our mother and daughter bonding.

Congratulations...

Kuya Red and K'Anne... They're not getting married, ok? They just got regularized. Way to go! Don't forget our treat!

Holidays...

Yay! Christmas is coming... and I can already feel the cool breeze of December... Christmas decors are visible almost everywhere... I sooo lurve christmas... it's the time of the year that everyone's got a reason to be happy. For the obvious reason... But it also means... spending... spending time with family and friends... and spending money for christmas presents. But it's ok, as my BIG sistah puts it 'it's like sharing our blessings..'. Can't wait for christmas to come! But before that, I have the next couple of days as my rest days... a reason to be happy!

My LSS' at the moment...

What I've Been Looking For
(from the movie High School Musical.. I love both versions.)

It’s hard to believe
That I couldn’t see
You were always there beside me

Thought I was alone
With no one to hold
But you were always right beside me

This feeling’s like no other
I want you to know

I’ve never had someone
that knows me like you do
The way you do
I’ve never had someone
as good for me as you
No one like you

So lonely before
I finally found
What I’ve been looking for
diet. And it goes just fine with me, I don't feel so deprived and starved. I still get to eat anything that I want. How about you? Do you have recent addiction/s?

Antipolo Day!

K'Anne and I agreed to visit the cathedral of Nuestra SeƱora dela Paz Y Buen Viaje (Our Lady Of Peace and Good Voyage) in Antipolo last Monday. And prior to that day I, along with my FTI friends went to hear mass at the Quiapo church. When I told my brother about my going to Quaipo and Antipolo he even teased me that he wants her sister back. He thought that I was possessed or something, 'coz you know... I pray but I'm not really the type who does Visita Iglesia every once in a while. I jokingly answered him with a 'Ano ka ba, I'm even going to Baclaran and Manaoag next week.' And his jaw almost dropped, he just had the shock of his life!

Anyway, K'Anne and I met up at Mc Donalds in Starmall, we haven't been there before that really. It's just that the FX/van terminal to Antipolo is just at the front parking of the mall. We left Manila at past 11. We arrived in Antipolo at past 12 too, then we went straight to the church. Before we reached the church it was already drizzling, luckily each of us brought our own umbrella so it wasn't a hasle at all. When we were about to leave the cathedral, the rain stopped. So we headed out to the pasalubong center, we were welcomed by a lady who's in her thirties, I guess. And she ushered us to her stall, and offered us free taste of her suman and cashew nuts. I ate the suman, but I didn't buy it... Hehehe... K'Anne and I also tasted the cashew nuts, flavored and unflavored and she decided to buy the adobong kasuy, of course she didn't buy it right away. We haggled! Even just for ten pesos, hehehe. It's a good feeling when you're able to haggle. We even managed to ask for dagdag!

After buying the adobong kasuy, we went to look for a restaurant that is just unique in Antipolo. Unfortunately, we didn't get to find one. We asked almost every tricycle driver but all they suggested were fastfood chains, not unique eh? We also asked a tricycle driver to get us to Barrio Fiesta but he told us that it's way too far and we need to pay over a hundred bucks. So we just left the manong that we asked, and continued walking... searching for a good resto. We thought of going to Padi's point, so we went near the gas station to wait for a jeep that will take us to Sumulong highway, we waited for about 15 minutes but still no trace of jeep. So we walked further, and asked a police officer that we saw along the way, but still he can't suggest any resto aside form the fastfood chains. There was also a guy who offered to get us to a kainan and bulaluhan, but we refused. We didn't like the idea. Another tricycle driver offered to take us to Circumferential Road, 'coz he said that there might be restos there that we would somehow like. We gave in. We rode on his tryke, it was just about 5 minutes then he stopped to Alejandro's Grill and Restaurant, he asked us if we wanted to check it. We did, and just decided to have our lunch there. The driver charged us Php35! Not overpricing! (Sarcastic)

We went inside the resto, their guests were only a group of three persons. But since, were near hopeless, we just stayed. There were huts outside the resto, we took the hut that is in the far corner, away from the road but near the shade of the mango trees. I had sisig and K'Anne had sizzling squid and cream of mushroom soup for both of us. It was only I who ordered for rice 'coz K'Anne's on a diet. We were chatting endlessly while having our lunch, we had our pitures taken. We had a great time. We talked about what were going to do next, since we were both not familiar with the place we had no idea. But a memory of hinulugang taktak glided on my mind so I suggested that we go there, and see for ourselves.

After paying for our bill, we waited for a tryke outside the resto. When there was one, we asked the driver to take us to the sakayan to the waterfalls coz we thought that it was also far, but he suggested that he take us there. We asked for the price and he said that it would only cost us Php28, so off we go! When we got there, the trail down to the falls was muddy and slippery due to the rain. There were also a bunch of people there, having 'discussions', i suppose and some of them are just tourists like us, 'coz you know.. they were also taking pictures like us. The national park neither looks good nor bad, its state is somewhere in between. But from the looks of it, I can tell that the place used to be really great. (yeah right, how would it become a national park if it wasn't?) You can also see the trace of the recent super typhoon Milenyo, most of the branches of the trees were broken, there was a landslide, and the basin of the waterfalls is full of broken branches, leaves and some garbage. Its so sorry to see how the once great place had ended that way. Some people are just ungrateful to nature... it is also so sad to know that some people are also the cause of the destruction of nature. But its also great to know that they are planning to restore the national park, but I still think that prevention is better than cure... It only had me wished that they took great care of the place, it wouldn't have come to this state. But even with the destruction... we still managed to take great pitures! hehehehe thanks to our 'photographer' selves. Hehehehe.

After almost an hour, we left the place and went back to the city proper, we got off at McDo, used the toilet, buy us drinks (we were exhausted of the uphill climb from the falls to the exit.). Then went to the terminal... We arrived at Crossing at half past four. I walked K'Anne to the bus stop, then I headed to megamall to pay for my credit card bills and do some grocery shopping. haaayy, I'm not yet married but I get to do the housewives' stuff. I also brought mine and my brother's clothes to the laundromat. coz he asked me too. What a way to end a great day.... :)

Our Antipolo pictures here...

Sleepless Again

It was Nhez' birthday yesterday, I greeted her at the eve of her birthday, then she invited me to her party at their house in Cavite. I wasn't really sure if I would go for the reason that I still have work Saturday night. After my shift, I went to FTI to see my friends there, they were still calling when I got there, which means that I must behave. After their calling, Bec, Rey, Joey and I talked about going to the weekend market at the Salcedo (pronounced as : Sal-sey-do hehehe) park here in Makati, but when were about to leave the office we just decided to have breakfast at Jollibee,Export Bank branch at Gil Puyat Ave. We also met up with Nathan and his friend there. While eating we argued as to where we're going after our breakfast, we had Quiapo, Rey's pad and Nhez' party in mind, but we really can't decide. After eating, Bec decided to just go home cause she was already sleepy, Nathan and his friend left, and Joey and I went on our way to Rey's pad. When we almost got there, we decided to surprise Nhez at her party since she wasn't expecting for us to come anymore because we told her earlier that we're not able to make it due to our work schedules.

We took a cab to Landmark, and from there we took a shuttle to Cavite. We were really tired and sleepy, but it was only Joey who fell asleep while on our trip. We got off at Zapote and took a jeepney that will pass at the ADDAS' village in Molino. When we got off at the junction going to ADDAS, we forgot the name of Nhez' street. We just took the tryke and told the driver to take us to Mapacpac's residence, good thing Nhez' family owns some tryke so the drivers were quite familiar about them. We got at Nhez' house at past 12 noon, there were already lots of her neighbors and relatives there, all were having a good time. We saw Nhez' mom and she walked us to Nhez' room, when Nhez saw us she was ecstatic! She didn't expect us to come, 'coz we already had our excuses earlier that day. We talked a little about her recent trip to Bohol and Cebu, then she led us out of her room to eat our lunch. The food were great! I especially love the shrimps, good thing my body was cooperative yesterday... my skin allergy didn't break out.

After eating, we had our videoke sessions, and it was only Joey who's the constant bearer of the microphone, she doesn't share it with us... else she's not familiar with the song. ;))

We left Nhez' house at 3:30 in the afternoon, we took a different route (via Coastal Road), then from Baclaran we took the bus that will pass by Ayala, coz we need to drop Rey at Washington. When were at the bus, the exhaustion is evident on us but that didn't keep us from having fun. We played games on the bus, laugh... talk... we were even like little kids throwing tiny balls of paper on each other. We were very magulo on the bus!

When Rey got off, Joey and I behaved. She even took a nap, i think. We both got off at Boni and I got home at around 6:30 maybe. I set my alarm clock, then I hurriedly flopped myself to bed. I walk up at 8:30PM becasue of my alarm snoozing, but I didn't get up right away, I reset my alarm at 8:45, I extended my sleep for a while. When my alarm goes on again, I had no choice but to get up and get ready for work. I took a bath, put on some clothes (of course), then left the house for work.

It was already 9:52 when I arrived at Ayala. I only had 8 minutes left before my shift starts. I was walking a little too fast... Good thing I got at work at 9:58. Lucky me!

It's now past 5AM but I'm still alive and kicking! I didn't get the chance to take a nap during my break. I was busy surfing the net... and listening to music... Barely 2 more hours to go and my week will officially end! Yippee!

Happy weekend to me, K'Anne and Rey we share the same rest days... :-P
