Facebook Post Reposted

Reposting some mushy stuff... I found this post on Facebook by a friend who posted it to another friend's wall. ☺

Have you ever found yourself WAITING around for a man?
Waiting for him to call, waiting for him to say he loves you,
waiting for him to book you up on a Saturday night,
waiting for a lifetime commitment?

If you've ever felt desperate at that moment,
absolutely helpless, you're not alone.
Some of us have waited evenings,

watching television and hoping a man would call.
Some of us have waited years for the engagement ring to show up.
So, how long is too long to wait for a commitment from a man?

I gave up waiting many years back. I spent almost half of my life waiting, either for something or someone. And it was exhausting and excruciating. So I swore that I would never play the waiting game again. But surprise! Surprise! Here I am, back in the game, even playing forward! I just never learn. I know waiting doesn't always guarantee a happy ending, and often times it's quite the opposite of the big Hollywood movie ending that you kept playing in your head. But even though, we still wait. I think it's human nature, holding on to even the tiniest thread of hope. I just hope that something good will come out of this. But if not, hey this is a waiting game remember? I'm playing it and definitely I'm a sport! (I think ☺) And maybe someday when I replay this game, I can just have a good laugh about it.

I'm definitely playing and will be giving it my best shot. Go Team! Hahaha!

To the spectators: Please don't expect too much from this game, it's the first time that I'm playing again after a very serious injury that ended in the emergency room straight to ICU.  So please cut me some slack. *wink*

Fullybooked!

It's just a week after the new year started but I already have a Christmas wish for 2011! It's very early for a Christmas wishlist but then again, I believe in the saying "don't wait for tomorrow what you can do for today". Hahaha! So, I'm getting started really (extra!) early (redundant). :-)

We were at Fully Booked at Bonifacio High Street last Wednesday after I went to the hospital (which by the way is a different story). And we spent most of the time at the book store, it's my favorite place in BGC. I drooled over a lot of books! Yes, books make me drool, as well as clothes and accessories and a lot of other stuff. I read a few books and finished it all! 4 books to be exact. And no, I didn't spend days there just to read the 4 books, the books I'm talking about are tiny books, booklets? Whatever you call it, it only contains hundred pages max.

I so love going the bookstore especially when I have book-loving friends as company. And for this I want a library as big as Fullybooked BGC! Wishful thinking! I'm getting way over my head again.

1/1/11

It's officially the new year! It's the day of many firsts today, first day of the decade, year, and month: 1/1/11! I'm not really sure what to expect this year or the rest of this new decade. All I know is that I'm going to live it, period. I'm not really big on planning, or anything on that matter because I'm the worst when it comes to time management. I know I'm getting very redundant because I already posted my "new year" entry, its just that I feel like blogging today, only I have no idea what I'm going to say. Like it's the first time to ever happen (*rolls eyes), most of my posts here are just words salad. I think, and I spew words all over this little thing called blog. That's just the way I ran this blog ever since.

Anyway, I just thought about some old superstitions, they say that what you do on the new year's determines what the year will be for you. And with that I think I'm going to be celebrating for the rest of the year! We spent the night celebrating, we slept at 5AM this morning. We had a few drinks, played charades with my cousins, did karaoke and just exchanged old jokes that ironically never ran old. In short, we had the greatest time. So great that it doesn't bother me even if I only slept for 3 hours. Maybe the saying is true, that you don't feel tired when you love what you're doing and for me it's spending time with family.

I hope you all had a great new year's eve like I did and I still do. And I also hope that all of you are well, no accidents or whatsoever.

Happy new year from my family.
