It's almost the third month of the year yet I only have one entry for 2012. Whatever happened to blogging more often? That I don't know. Well, I know, for sure I wasn't busy or anything. I was just being me, the best procrastinator in town. Anyway, there's no point of reasoning, nobody's reading my blog anyway. Except maybe for a couple of friends, or three tops.
I saw this Bollywood film last year, you may have heard of it, it's called 3 Idiots. I fell in love with the film, the characters, the country. It was the first Bollywood movie that I watched (not counting Slumdog Millionaire, it was a Hollywood produced film), but certainly it wasn't the last. Since then, I started watching all these Bollywood films. Not actually all, because it will be so hard, try as I might. But, I may have watched almost all of Kareena Kapoor's movies. If you may ask, she played Pia on 3 Idiots. I don't know why but I fell in love with her reel and real character. She's no goody-too-shoes, she speaks her mind. She doesn't go around trying to please anyone, but herself. That's what I really like about her, she doesn't conform with the stereotypes. Some says, she's not as beautiful as I described her to be, but for me she most definitely is. She's my girl crush of the moment.
My mom said, that my fangirling on her is like when I was in high school when I was all about Prue Halliwell and Rachel Greene. Yes, I am pathetic that way. It's hard for me to see them as mere characters of my favorite shows, but I see them as friends that I would keep for life. More often than not, I would daydream about being friends with them, and we would just hang out at my place, but mostly theirs and we will have the greatest time just lounging on the couch talking or just watching TV.
Aside from Kareena Kapoor, I also fell in love with Shimla. It's just like our very own Baguio City but with snow. I like the vibe of the place. It's one of those places that I would love to be, not the bustling city but there're still things to do. Sight see, or just sit by the window and read a book while sipping tea. You see, I'm such a dork, even my vacation is dorky. And Ladakh, the pristine waters.... oh my! It's incredible, indeed their tagline "Incredible India".
And just to prove to you how much I'm into Kareena Kapoor and Bollywood movies. I spent the entire 2 hours watching Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu (Kareena's new movie with Imran Khan) without any subtitles on it. 80% of the time I've no idea what they were talking about. But I've watched the movie from start to end. I think it was a good movie, if only I had an idea what their conversations were it would have been great. I only relied on their actions and the little English that they've said.
Ok, I have to get off the computer and start watching Bodyguard, still Kareena Kapoor's movie but with a different Khan, Salman Khan. This time, with subtitles. ☺
