Pictorials and Friendships
After a few weeks I just felt the urge to post here anything, I don't know why but I just felt like doing so. It's been more than three weeks since I last posted here. Yeah, I know I shouldn't bother counting the days/weeks because there's probably only three persons who are constantly checking this blog for any update and that would be my dear friends Trish and Joannie, you might be wondering who's the third person who constantly reads this blog... well wonder no more because its me! Who else? If I wouldn't be patronizing my own blog nobody would, right?
I've been busy doing nothing these past weeks... and when I say nothing I mean nothing. All I did was just sleep and sleep and lots of sleep. I really enjoyed bumming around. It's like a privilege to do that knowing the demands of my work(as if). Anyway, I kinda lied... because on the last Friday of June, Sheina and I attended a friend's wedding, which we were late.. very very late. We got there in time for the pictorial! Hah! Good thing we made it there before the reception dinner because it would be so embarrassing. After the dinner, Sheina and I went to have coffee and took some pictures of us, we even took a video of us fooling around Melrose Avenue! And pretending to be friends with Lauren Conrad and Rachel Bilson, and of course there's lashing on Heidi Montag on the side. Hahahaha. Mind you, we were really good at it! It seemed real, minus the "flower girl"! (Shein, you know what I'm talking about) If you've seen us, you'll think we were a couple of drunk girls . I really had fun that night...
Ok fast forward to last Friday >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Shein and I agreed to meet to get our tickets for a Switchfoot concert and to catch a movie after too. My brother came with me and Shein was kinda late because of the heavy traffic jam and so we were late for the 8 o'clock movie we agreed to watch. And because of that, we watched the movie even later. It's not a big deal though if she doesn't have to report to work at 11 o'clock that night but she really have to. So before the movie came to it's end we already went out of the cinema with the hopes of getting her on time for work, but since my brother tagged along with us and the mall was not so crowded anymore because it's about to close we felt that it's time for us to have our "paparazzi" snaps. So we/I asked my brother to take our pictures as if we were celebrities and him... paparazzi of course! Hahaha.. I know we're pathetic and we need to get a life, but what can we do? We just love our pictures taken and the illusion of having paparazzi coming after us to take our pictures is a major plus points!!!!! It's not everyday that you have the mall by yourself... and it's not everyday that you feel that you're some kind of a celebrity, right? So after all the pictorials.... Shein was even more late for work.
When we got out of the mall we hailed a cab and went straight to our office. During the cab ride we were already weaving up a story to cover for her tardiness. And we came up with this:
When the cab stopped at our office's building, I went straight to our office but Shein went to the nearest convenience store to buy herself a drink and some time. When I arrived at our office I was asked by our supervisor why was I in the office since it's my rest day. I answered that Shein called me the last minute and ask me to fill in for her 'coz she isn't sure if she'll be able to get to work. And I think my supervisor bought it because he also told me that he called Shein and she said that she's already on her way. I acted like I was relieved to hear him say those. After about 15 minutes Shein arrived, hurrying to her post and was asking for apology for being late and for asking me to fill for her, she said that she wasn't really feeling well because she didn't get enough sleep because she went home very late that morning due to tons of work in the office. We really think our supervisor bought our story. After about an hour of staying in the office I also left for home to get some sleep. We're sneaky huh! That's one of the simple things I would do to help a friend, I know Shein will also do the same for me.

Satur-Night-Out
Last Saturday Shein, K'Anne, Kuya Red and I agreed to have quality time together, to unwind from everything that we've been doing. Our meeting place was at NBS in Robinson's Pioneer. No one was late that afternoon, it was the first time that we were all early! Maybe it's because we were really excited to see each other because it was more than a couple of months since we've last seen each other, except for Shein and me because we work at the same place so we're like sick of our faces. Hahaha Just kidding, we'll never get tired of each other. Anyway, from Pioneer we took a cab to The Block, it was a really long cab ride, super heavy traffic jam! But it was ok with us, we have more than enough time to talk.
When we got offf at The Block, we went on finding Cerealicious. When we finally located it, we thought that it's best to have dinner first, and Cerealicious will just be a place for dessert. We searched for restaurants and we didn't expect to find Jatujak there, it is a Thai resto. We quickly decided to have our dinner there. We were really noisy, as in super kulitan! The food's great as in really great! I love the tom yum, it was sinigang-like but with a twist, it has a tangy flavor that makes it different and special, I also love the spring roll I just forgot what it's called, and the bagoong rice and pandan chicken... so yummy, and of course the Thai iced tea is the best! Our dinner was super duper extra special.... great food+great people = great time! We were almost done with our dinner so I called the waitress for bill out, so she went to our table and started clearing our table. She took my plate, then K'Anne's. Suddenly K'Anne beamed (screamed) "Hindi pa po ako tapos!", the waitress was surely shocked and we were all laughing out loud! :)) K'Anne explained that she wasn't finished yet, and added that she was saving the best (part) for last. If the waitress really took her plate, she said she would cry, as in she wasn't kidding!
After dinner we decided not to have dessert right away because we were so full. We jsut went to World of Fun at the main mall and played the piso game. We spent almost 400 pesos while playing it, and we had 846 tickets! Yey! We exchanged it for four coin purses and 5 lollipops. After WOF, we went to Cerealicious for our dessert. I had Nerd of the Rings (milkshake, mango bits, fruit loops and nerds), K'Anne had Nutting Hill (milkshake, different nuts and i forgot the kind of cereal), Shein had Apple-O 13 (milkshake, apple slices, cinammon..), and Kuya red had Mint Joe Black(milkshake, oreo, mint..) and all our cereals were topped with a scoop of ice cream.
We went to find ATM after our dessert and we were thinking about our next stop, since we didn't have an itinerary because it was a come-what-may day for us. We agreed then to go to The Loop, but instead of going there we ended up at the House of Big Brother because iwe saw a large crowd there... so we went with the flow and watched the eviction night. After some sneak peeks we went to Starbucks at ELJ bldg. to pee. Hehehe. Then went walking around the compound. We were supposed to get in at Esquinita, but changed our minds since it was already late and Shein need to attend church at 5:30AM the following day. We walked her to the bus stop and waited till she can get a ride home. When Shein went home we decided to continue the night at Off the Grill in Timog.
Kuya Red, K'Anne and I headed to Timog. There was a live band performing there and I must say their keyboardist is really hot! We ordered some onion rings, french fries, a bucket of booze for kuya Red and me and Pina colada cocktail for K'Anne. We left the place at around 3AM. We took a cab to Malabon (K'Anne's Place) pero madaya kami kasi K'Anne told us that we tell the driver that we're off to Malabon he won't take us, so we just told manong that we heading for Kalookan, pumayag naman sya. When we got in Kalookan nagdrama na kami:
Me: K'Anne super late na hatid ka nalang namin sa inyo...
Kuya Red: At antok na din ako pwede ba kami makitulog muna sa inyo sandali?
K'Anne: Ok, sge. Manong, pwede po ba diretso nalang tayo sa Malabon sa Sangandaan?
The manong can do nothing since our reason is "reasonable" enough. Hehehe
We arrived at K'Anne's at half past three, we were like sneaking in to their house. We don't want to wake her parents up so that they won't know that we got there late... uhmm i mean early in the morning already. We slept at their sala kasi ginagawa ang kwarto ni K'Anne. When we lay down, kuya Red went straight to dreamland but K'Anne and I talked till 5AM. We woke up at 6AM, but K'Anne told us that we should just sleep and leave after breakfast so that she can introduced us to her parents and it won't seem like snucking in and out of their house.
When we woke up at 7AM, K'Anne prepared breakfast for us. para kaming konsensya nya kasi buntot kami ng buntot kahit saan man sya magpunta, takot kami na i-interrogate ng parents nya! Hahaha! Buti nalang at ok naman yung parents nya. After we had our breakfast, uwian na kami ni Kuya Red, hinatid kami ni K'Anne hanggang sakayan. At muntik pa kami maligaw kasi nakalimutan ni kuya Red yung daan! hehehehe Pero buti nalang nakarating naman kami sa mga bahay namin ng walang masamang nangyari.
Sistahs and brotha thanks for our Saturnight out... "Sana maulit muli"... kailan pa kaya ulit? After na siguro ng exams ni K'Anne.

Sinful Days
Wednesday morning, I had breakfast at home, when I got at the workplace I along with my officebuddies Shein and Kitty went to Jollibee for some pancakes. Then we had a late lunch at Cheesecake etc., then when I left the office I went to G4, had my 'rounds', did a little shopping then went to meet my cousin Trish at Gateway. We had late dinner at Itallianni's, then coffee at Figarro. Yesterday, I had breakfast at home again, then had lunch at McDo, then dinner with Nhez and Tin at Napoli's Pizzeria at Timog. And today, I had breakfast at home again and bought lunch from Jollibee. I don't know where's next but one thing's sure. I really feel that I've been eating a lot lately, not to mentionm that I'm also spending a lot! I don't know what will happen later tonight, coz as you know it's Friday, it's T.G.I.F. day!

My Weekend Nights
I came here at the workplace early Friday night to invite my work and off-work buddy Nhez for a Friday night out, since it's been ages since the last time we went out. Unfortunately, Sir Leo, who used to be our project manager called and asked for someone from the IS team, and I was the sole IS officer that time so we talked and he asked me to upload the test leads for our new UK account. And since I'm workaholic by nature(ewwww, doesn't fit!) I gave in. And while uploading the test leads requests from different projects started flooding. And alas! I'm tied up with work, and the Friday night out is on without me. Poor me. Around 11 o'clock my bosses are already here as well as my co-IS, Kuya Red so I decided to leave the workplace. But before I left I PMed (is there such a word? :) ) G-boy to ask him if he's going home to QC so I'll have a company on the way home, and he said yes so I asked him to wait for me. On our way home, I really felt bad because earlier that night I was already anticipating my first night out after a month or so. But there I was, heading my way home. Suddenly, I felt hungry and I remember that I haven't eaten since Friday midnight, and G-Boy haven't eaten his dinner yet too. So we just decided to have dinner first before heading home. We were suppose to eat at McDonalds at Quezon Ave, but its already closed! God! pagsinuswerte ka nga naman! So we moved to other place which is Cafea, then when we're already there I found out that I don't have enough funds, my wallet is almost empty so we rushed to Timog to find for an ATM, we've been to 3 different banks, but it said that 'transaction cannot be completed', and it dawned on me that it must be a universal conspiracy! Huh! I'm jinxed that night. Good thing G-Boy remembered that there's a UCPB bank somewhere in Tomas Morato so we went there, and luckily the universal conspiracy ended there. I was able to access my bank account! So we went back to Cafea and had our very late dinner there. We talked about anything under the sun.. err.. i think it's anything under the moon! hehehehe Corny points for me! Anyway, I also met one of my buddies there, Tin, she came with her high school friends. After a couple of hours (I think t'was around 2:00AM) we waited for a cab then went home. Though my night out didn't turned out as planned, I still had a great night, and my Friday night was not spoiled. Thanks to you Mr. G-Boy. :-)
I woke up late last Saturday, I think it was around 1 in the afternoon. It was a very lazy afternoon, coz the rain was lightly pouring. I was lying cozy in my bed on a rainy Saturday afternoon when Nhez and Rey texted me and reminded me that I agreed to come over to their pad. So I hurriedly took a bath then get myself ready to leave. When I arrived at their pad in Makati, they were also feeling cozy in bed while watching Sister Act on Star Movies. We watched the movie till the end though all of us already watched it a hundred times since we were kids. After the movie we decided to have coffee, we had Starbucks, CBTL and Cafea as our choices I also suggested Tiendesitas and they said that it's pretty far so we ended up at Esquinita, near ELJ. We had dinner there, a couple of rounds of booze and tons of talks! I really missed those guys its the first time that I went out with them since December of last year. And at around 10:30 we decided to call it a night. I arrived home at around 11 o'clock, I was early!
I spent the whole day of Sunday in bed while watching TV. It was around 6 o'clock that I played with my hair in front of the mirror, then I thought of cutting my hair short and have some bangs for a change. So, I went to my brother and beg him to come with me to Fix, he accompanied at Fix then after that he said that I should treat him for pizza, the price of accompanying me to the salon! So I just gave in. When were on our way to Berkeley Square we passed by Nail Loft and we decided right there and then to have foot spa. After about an hour we went to Yellow Cab at Berkeley Square to have our dinner, we had Manhattan Meat lover's pizza and pistachio ice cream. Not minding the rain and the cold wind blowing outside. And after our great dinner, we went straight home.
I think I already got used to the night life, and I mean it literally. I don't wanna go out now when the sun's up. It's really a paradox 'coz now I'm off the night shift and I'm on the noon shift which is 12:00nn to 9:00PM.
I just wanna say thank you to all the persons who made my weekend great, Nhez, Rey, Kate and my brother.
Hope to have another blast next weekend!!! :)

Thank God for Paulo
I'm done reading Eleven Minutes and it took me 3 days to finish the book because I'm on a night shift and its really hard to do some reading when i get home from work when I'm already tired and very sleepy. But still, I managed to finish it in 3 days! Good for me! The book is really great! And as always, Paulo Coelho never fails to fascinate and hypnotize me with his works. He made me journey with Maria from her small town in the interior of Brazil, to Copacabana, to Geneva, Switzerland and Paris. How she struggled to achieved her dreams, from being a young, pretty innocent girl to an intellectual prostitute. And how she learned from every mistake she made in life. And finally, how she found herself and her love.
If you love reading, i suggest you read this book. I'm also planning to read Veronika Decides to Die and The Zahir (works of P.Coelho) on my day-off.
On the Other Hand
My friends are inviting me to come with them to Puerto Galera this Saturday, but I haven't decided yet. It's hard for me to say yes because I got books to read, I still have work tonight, and I only have one day-off for this week. And I don't think I can still squeeze that 'Puerto Galera get-away' on my schedule without affecting or ruining any on my list, because for sure if I'll be going to Puerto I won't be able to report for work on Sunday.
I really want to go with them 'coz its been ages since our last trip together, but how will I do that? It's too late to file for a vacation leave, I don't also want to phone in sick and file a SL on Sunday (I'm afraid of karma) but I also don't want to be absent (I hate deductions, and I don't want to lose the attendance incentive). Whew!
And hey, did I mention that I'm planning to have my birthday bash on Saturday night? Whew! (again!) Please enlighten me...

What a day!
Its supposed to be my day off but we had a team meeting this morning so I'm obliged to render a RDOT from 8:00AM-5:00PM but since there are tasks that needs to be done I'm still here in the office though its already past 8 o'clock. Its a good thing because I'll be paid with a higher rate for today because its my rest day but bad thing is I'll be deducted with higher tax too! But I don't care 'bout the deductions, all i care is that I'm enjoying my staying late here in the office with my MIS buddy, Sheina. Though its a 'toxic' day for us, we still had time to chat and laugh once in a while. When you're with the person/s that you like you don't mind the time, all you can think of is the great time that you're having with that person/s. That's what I'm feeling right now, i don't care if i get myself home later than usual because the time that I'm having now is worth more than anything.
Flashback...
Jerryl, Sheina and I had pizza for lunch at Yellow Cab, we pigged on an 18" pizza! We spent our whole 1 and a half hour break for eating and talking sense and nonsense! I had a great time with those guys, they're not just 'officemates' they really are friends... buddies! I really enjoyed being with them.... they have this crazy ideas.... but they can also talk sense if the situation calls for it! Yeah, really... they can! Its not just obvious... and they also have the power fool you in a wink of an eye! They're really talented, not just in computer programming but also in fooling people! Hahahahaha (peace out to you Sheina and jerryl!) I'm just kidding!
back to reality....
The Stone Ground' gang texted me that they're going to Kalipay tonight coz its Friday (Kalipay night for the gang), i told them that i'm not sure if i could come with them coz i'm having my Over-over time! I missed hanging out with them too.... its been a month since the last time i went out with them. sigh. I really missed their company... our endless kulitan and asaran... our petty quarrels... food trips and most of all our road trips! Our escapades after every gimik night. Its like a routine that every after our night out we go out of town. like before we went to Baguio and the last time we went to Tagaytay. our roadtrips are always spontaneous, we don't know where were heading... we just go where the car will take us! hahahaha (as if the car has its own mind!) and every time we go out of town or just driving around town we often meet this accidents... minor or major! But it doesn't matter to us now... we're immune to it! hope that i can be with them at Kalipay tonight... i'l keep my fingers crossed! (But i need to save... I'm torn between saving and gimmick waaaaahhhh)
Ok... so much for blogging... we're done with our tasks! We'll be leaving the office in 8 minutes! Thank God! Whew! Be back on Sunday... tomorrow's my rest day (my real rest day!)
